Student Life

Student experiences outside the classroom are most impactful when connected to academic life. A range of programs are available to help students connect with classmates and professors, hone their leadership skills, and prepare for life after ASU.

Student Clubs and Organizations

What’s your thing - your sport, your greatest talent or latest curiosity? At ASU, we have an active student group for just about every “thing” you can think of. Our students are film buffs, sports fanatics and volunteers. We’ve formed 1,000+ student clubs and organizations across our four campuses, where you can make new friends, share your talents, learn from others and serve the community. You can also connect with peers in clubs that are unique to your school or program.  Click here to see all of our clubs and find out how to get involved!

The Dean's Cup

The Dean’s Cup is a fun competition that promotes the spirit of the College of Public Programs. Participants will win prizes throughout the year. The grand prize will include trophies for the winning team and your names will be displayed on the Dean’s Cup to be housed in the University Center building. Also, there will be a $1,000 donation made to a charity of the winning team’s choice. Click here to learn how to get started and win The Dean's Cup!

The College of Public Programs wants to personally assist military students by making their transition to ASU as easy as possible.  We want to help with the transition by providing information concerning our majors and our staff that assist with recruiting, student life, and financial aid directly to military students.

Undergraduate Research

null Research is experiential education. As an undergraduate, you can work with faculty, graduate students and other undergraduates to transform your knowledge into actual practice –whether it is working with assessing the impact homeownership has on low-income families and communities or creating your own entrepreneurial experience to launch a nonprofit. Learn more about undergraduate research opportunities.   Click here to learn more and register your interest.

The college experience happens on campus. Living on campus gives you convenient access to academic resources. It’s a great way to find your niche and build friendships with peers who share similar interests and goals. Located on ASU’s Downtown Phoenix campus, Metropolis at Taylor Place is the living and learning community for students in the College of Public Programs. Learn more.  Click here to live on campus!

Student Events

Student events enhance campus life by providing entertaining, educational and social activities that enrich the ASU experience and provide a sense of community, belonging and purpose. There’s always something happening on campus. Most events are open to the entire university and some involve the large community. The events include notable guest speakers to movies in the park, and everything in between.  Click here for a calendar of events!

Peer Advisors in Residence (PAIR)

Peer Advisors in Residence (PAIRs) are current College of Public Programs students who are dedicated to making your transition to college smooth and enjoyable! Through the program PAIRs serve as a valuable resource, providing peer-to-peer academic counseling and guidance in understanding the college culture and community. Click here to find your PAIR or for information on becoming a PAIR.
