Professor advocates artistic process to solve global issues

The College of Public Programs awarded Mark Reader, an emeritus professor of political science, with the 2009 Praxis Award on Wednesday for contributing art to the school's facility at the Downtown Phoenix campus.

Reader presented a lecture about the ways art can help to solve modern problems around the world, including environmental issues. The presentation took place at the Tempe campus.
